AI Language Model

In the previous lesson, we looked at how you can manually edit translations to ensure accuracy. While this gives you full control, it can also be time-consuming if you’re managing a lot of content.

To make this process more efficient, we released the AI Language Model, a feature designed to make your translations smarter!

Your AI Language Model is trained on your website, glossary rules and manual edits to generate translations that already match your brand’s tone, context, and style. The result: fewer edits, more accuracy, and greater consistency across all your content.

Key benefits

  • Improved accuracy: Translations are already adapted to your brand, so they require less tweaking.
  • Reduced editing time: Spend less time fixing recurring issues and more time publishing.
  • Brand alignment: Keep your voice consistent across every market.
  • Smarter than standard automatic translations: Goes beyond literal translations by understanding tone, audience, and context.

How to set it up

  1. Go to the Language Model tab in your project.
  2. Review details about your brand, tone of voice, and target audience.
  3. It's recommended to keep the options to have your glossary and past manual edits included.
  4. Add custom instructions (prompts) to go further.

Prompt ideas for your model

Custom instructions are one of the most powerful ways to shape your AI Language Model. Here are some examples you can adapt to your needs:

  • “Keep titles and Calls to Action as brief as possible.”
  • “Don’t translate acronyms.”
  • “Keep proper nouns and brand terms in English for all languages.”
  • “Use a formal tone for press releases, but a friendly tone for product descriptions.”
  • “Prefer localized date formats (DD/MM/YYYY).”
  • “Translate idioms into culturally relevant equivalents, not literally.”

These prompts help you guide the model so its output better reflects your style and priorities.

How to use it in your translations

  • In your Translation List, click “Improve with AI” to apply the model to any translation.
  • Use the bulk action option for up to 10,000 words at once.
  • AI-generated translations are labeled GenAI, making them easy to review later.
  • Good news: GenAI credits are included in all plans, including the free plan and trial.

If you still prefer including a real human professional in the loop, you can order professional translations directly on your dashboard. We'll go over how to do that in detail in the next lesson.
