Media Translation
You can display a localized version of your original images, videos, or PDFs using Media Translations. For example, consider an ecommerce website offering fashion items globally. Using Weglot's media translation, the French version can be set up to showcase the clothes with models and settings reflecting French fashion and lifestyle, creating a sense of familiarity for the visitor.
You can also consider using this feature to display culturally appropriate images for certain locals. Or you might simply want to translate the text in your media assets. In any case, here’s how to do it:
- Go to your Weglot Dashboard and select Translations > Languages. Select the language for which you want to add the media translation.
- Click on the "Actions" button next to the search bar and choose "Add media translation."
- Enter the URL of the original and translated media (explained how in the tutorial video). Click "Add" to complete the process.
Your translated media should now appear in the Translation List and displaying on your multilingual website.
