Import & Export Translations
Are you wondering how to import or export translations using Weglot? It's easy!
Exporting Translations:
Before you begin, ensure that your translations are up-to-date with your website's content. You can visit the translated pages or synchronize translations from your Weglot Dashboard > Translations > URLs page.
Exporting All Translations:
- Go to Translations > Languages in your Weglot Dashboard.
- Click on Actions and select "Export."
- Choose the format, language pairs, qualities, and types of translations.
- Click "Export" and receive a confirmation message.
Exporting by URLs:
- Navigate to Translations > URLs in your Weglot Dashboard.
- Select URLs, click on the three-dot menu, and choose "Export."
- Customize your export preferences and click "Export."
Exporting Specific Translations:
- Visit Translations > Languages in your Weglot Dashboard.
- Click on the icon next to the language pair.
- Select translations, click on the three-dot menu, and choose "Export."
- Customize your export preferences and click "Export."
Importing Translations:
If you want to import external translations to your Weglot project, follow these steps:
Export Existing Translations:
- Visit Translations > Languages in your Weglot Dashboard.
- Click on Actions and select "Import."
- Drag and drop your CSV or XLIFF file and click "Next."
Review and Import:
- Review the translations to be imported.
- Scroll down and click "Import translations."
- Choose options like creating translations for new sentences or marking unchanged translations as reviewed.
- Click "Import," and you'll be notified once the process is complete.
By following these steps, you can efficiently manage your translations using Weglot. If you encounter any issues, ensure your file's structure is correct, and remember that CSV files should be encoded in UTF-8. You can also find example files in the Weglot Dashboard to guide you further.
