Weglot Partners With Shift2 to Provide Multilingual Websites to Dutch Municipalities
We’re thrilled to announce an exciting new partnership between Weglot and Shift2, a digital services company for local governments in the Netherlands.
Thanks to this partnership, Shift2 now offers its clients a seamless way to create a multilingual government website for the Netherlands, making their sites accessible to everyone.
Weglot x Shift2
Weglot has been at the forefront of providing an effortless way to create a multilingual website since 2016. Shift2's expertise in providing digital solutions to local governments in the Netherlands provided an ideal opportunity for a partnership.
Shift2 is now using Weglot's no-code website translation software to provide its clients with an automatically translated website, with the option of adding more than 110 languages.
In a country with one of the most multicultural cities in the world, Amsterdam, where almost 180 nationalities are represented, local governments in the Netherlands are actively looking at how to further support their local communities.
Shift2 handles all aspects of adding Weglot, including the implementation, onboarding, and support of creating multilingual sites. The translation management process is then handed over to the client so they can use Weglot’s post-editing features to meet their translation quality requirements.
Company Alignment
This partnership further strengthens Weglot’s mission to make it effortless to have a website in multiple languages and perfectly aligns with Shift2’s goal of making government digital services easier and more accessible every day.
Céline Huor, Strategic Partnership Manager at Weglot, said, “We’re thrilled to partner with a company that shares our mission of creating a seamless multilingual web experience. Together, we’re empowering local Dutch governments to make their sites more accessible to their local communities.”
