Weglot partners with Partech with a €45m investment to continue its plans to become the category leader for web translation
Weglot, which builds a no-code website translation solution for the internet, is thrilled to announce a €45m growth investment from Partech Partners, a global technology and digital-focused investment firm.
As a leading SaaS software that helps businesses turn their websites multilingual, Weglot will use the investment to further expand its market share as a global leader in website translation software.
Founded in 2016, Weglot has helped more than 60,000 B2B and B2C brands translate and display their websites into multiple languages, including Microsoft, Spotify, Steve Madden, and Volcom.
International business growth and an accelerated shift to online has pushed forward the demand for brands requiring a multilingual website.
This investment will allow Weglot to further scale the development of its solution and accelerate its expansion, helping to build on its mission of helping anyone to translate their website effortlessly.
“We are thrilled to welcome our new investor on board and excited to build on the growth we’ve built up over the last 6 years. Partech is an excellent partner to help us accelerate our expansion and allow us to scale the business. This significant milestone will allow us to become the category leader for website translation.”
Augustin Prot and Remy Berda, Co-founders of Weglot
This growth investment is the first time Weglot has taken outside capital after a Seed round in 2017 from SIDE Capital.
Almost exactly 5 years later and having reached €10m ARR at the end of 2021, this new round of investment marks the next milestone in Weglot’s journey to becoming the leading website translation solution.
