In the last 3 years, we’ve been celebrating Black Friday and Cyber Monday (BFCM) a little differently. And this year, we plan to continue giving back!
If you’re new to Weglot’s initiative, we’ll catch you up: in the last 3 BFCM holidays, we donated 50% of our revenue made on those days. And this year will be no exception, so don’t worry about missing out—if you purchase a plan on either Black Friday or Cyber Monday, you’ll get to join in and donate to several causes!
If you’re an existing Weglot customer, you can participate, too. If you opt to upgrade your plan on either of those days, you’ll also be automatically part of the donation.
In 2022, we were thrilled to have donated €52,000 to Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders), Fondation de France, and a number of other smaller charities that Weglot team members hold close to their hearts.
So, it was without hesitation that we decided to continue the initiative this year. Like in previous years, the team was eager to choose the charities that would benefit from this year’s campaign.
This year, we’ll be donating once more to Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders). They are an international humanitarian organization that delivers medical assistance to areas devastated by conflict, epidemics, disasters or exclusion from healthcare with impartiality, independence and neutrality.
We’ll also be donating to Fondation de France again this year. They are a French charity with initiatives in all non-profit sectors and are active in many projects both within France and internationally. They collaborate with beneficiaries to create truly impactful solutions in the lives of others. As they have many sectors, our donation will go towards their Cancer Research program.
Alongside these charities, the Weglot team handpicked several other charities that contribute towards societal, educational, humanitarian, and public health concerns, both in France and abroad. These include animal welfare and conservation, disaster relief, women’s rights, and more.
